This cassette has the first version of Rain Forest Music, simply called Rain Forest, created in 1980. The rainfall is from a commercial album that I was not able to continue using due to disagreements about usage rights. So I remastered it using my own mix of E Texas rain and bird sounds from the Houston Zoo for publishing on the vinyl album version.
This version of Rain Music is one piece of music longer than the vinyl album as it was set up for a C-60 cassette tape.
Side two of this cassette is a collection of electronic and guitar tunes that I collectively named, Worlds Within Worlds.
The instrumentation is a Crumar Traveler-1 organ and Yairi accoustic guitar processed with an Echo-plex EP-4, a DOD Phaser and a Ross Compressor recorded on a Tascam 40-4 and Teac A-3340.

As with all versions of RAIN FOREST MUSIC, I orginally designed this music to enhance relaxation and meditation, as a background for massage or for counseling to help a person relax and open up faster. Dr. Robert Pennington, PhD., a clinical psychologist, business associate and friend, was very interested in the idea of using music in this way. So he
used RAIN FOREST MUSIC in his counseling sessions as background and noticed a marked difference in
the quality of the patient's ability to relax and open up in their sessions. He continues to use this and similar music as a
background for his counseling.
