East Texas Rain Forest Music was created in 1995. It is based on the same theme as the Original Rain Forest Music LP and cassette. The foundation is set up with a recording of East Texas forest rainfall and thunder sounds with bird sounds from the Houston Zoo mixed with electronic music. This remake is completely new or rewritten material mixed with newer digital instruments.

It is designed for and will play as one continuous piece of music, the CD does have track breaks.

The instrumentation is two Ensoniq ESQ-M's and a Korg X5DR with Cakewalk Sequencing Software for composition.

I orginally designed this music to enhance relaxation and meditation, as a background for massage or for counseling to help a person relax and open up faster.  Dr. Robert Pennington, PhD., a clinical psychologist and friend, was very interested in the idea of using music in this way. So he used the original Rain Forest Music in his counseling sessions as background and noticed a marked difference in the quality of the patient's sessions. He continues to use this and similar music as a background for his counseling.
